Fun Fall Things to Do

Autumn Activity Ratings
One fall leaf Mellow autumn experience
Two fall leaves Intense autumn experience
Three fall leaves Extreme autumn experience
Why simply be a leaf peeper, when you can come to Asheville and experience autumn to the extreme? Sure you can view the fall foliage, which is stunning here, but you can also see the splendid fall leaves from the air. You can take a scenic fall drive, or you can get adventurous and go on a scenic fall motorcycle ride (you can even rent a Harley here!).

It doesn't hurt that the region is blessed with amazing fall colors spreading across both mountains and valleys, yet the weather here is so mild you can still enjoy outdoor adventures well into the fall. You also aren't stressed about deciphering which mystery week is the perfect peak fall foliage week to visit. In the Western North Carolina mountains, we have so many elevations and micro-climates that the peak foliage season is the most extended in the U.S.
