Fall crafts aren't just for kids anymore! Let the season be your inspiration this fall, as dozens of arts and crafts classes share tips, tricks and techniques for both the budding and experienced artist.
- The Black Mountain Center for the Arts does more than run a gallery and offer events and theatre productions. Try one of their classes, which include painting and figure drawing.
- As the ranks of knitters continue to grow, Yarn Paradise keeps offering classes to beginning and advanced knitters alike during sessions ranging from free “sit and knit” gatherings and free-form needle felting.
- Those interested in woodworking can drive just an hour north of Asheville to take a class at Country Workshops, which features weeklong classes primarily on chair making. The classes fill up fast; be sure to register early.
- Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts is the place to go for ceramic arts classes. More than a pottery studio, Odyssey offers weekend workshops and classes on everything from sculpting to hand building. Check here for kids classes, too.
- But if you’d prefer to schedule your own arts class, visit Fired Up! Creative Lounge and Art Boutique to paint your own pottery between gallery and festival visits. Fired Up! can also host parties.
